Activity 1: To create a short story about what happened after the tour left without me.

I was terrified when I figured out I was in a forest ALONE! So I looked high and low to see if I could find the rest of the group then suddenly… A giant weka jumped out at me from nowhere. I thought It was a dream until it bit me with it’s big beak. Then suddenly a real weka jumped out and scared me yet again. Then My brother popped out of the first weka and turns out he was dressed as a weka just to scare me. Then he helped me find my tour but… They were just getting in the bus to go back home yay. THE END

Calender Art

This week Ponui-o-Toka have been making calendar art. There were three options cityscape, koru or hearts, I decided to choose hearts (Because it looked like it was the easiest and funnest). First we got a piece of scrap paper and began to plan so I started off by using a ruler to draw my lines in then I did it the other way. Then it was time to start drawing in our hearts, Once I was happy with my drawing I just the teacher gave me the my piece of paper that I did my calendar art on. So then I repeated the process where you get a ruler and rule your lines with a pencil then I decided to draw my heart's in each square grid on the paper and then I had to go along with the vivid along lines.

Complex Sentences

Today at literacy Room 6&7 reading made complex Sentences. A complex sentence is two simple sentences joined together. The two sentences have too be realated or about the same thing. there also need to have two verbs one verbin each sentence and don't forget the conjuction. I highlighted the words I used to create My complex sentences. please coment on what I can improve on.

The Attack of the Giants

The giants are sucking up the people with their vacuum cleaners as if they were aliens.

I was scared for my life as soon as I could I ran into the castle hoping they would not get me.

The Giants were wearing boots with a tank on there back for keeping the people in and they also had some gloves and a helmet on hiding there face.

The Castle was covered in sand it was a dull yellow with a prince and princess inside then… I got sucked up because I was stalling, I tried to climb out but I failed. THE END

These are all of my sentences joined into a story.
